Singapore Polytechnic

Singapore has five government polytechnics, Singapore Polytechnic, Temasek Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Nanyang Technological Institute and Republic Polytechnic. The diploma of the Polytechnic is called Diploma, which is equivalent to a college diploma in China. After reading, the diploma is internationally recognized. Students with excellent grades can continue to apply for further studies in several universities established by the Singapore government, including the well-known QS World University this year. The National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University are ranked first in Asia. International students studying in polytechnics can also apply for MOE Tution Grant from the Ministry of Education. The tuition fee is almost the same as that of local students in Singapore. Three years after graduation, they need to work in Singapore for three years.

How Chinese students apply:

1) College entrance examination scores (this is required, it depends on the scores of the students applying for that year, there is no hard and fast rule to achieve how many points)

2) English IELTS of at least 6.0 (some polytechnics do not require this score, if it has been considered for admission based on the college entrance examination score, direct admission, or will contact the student for an interview or written test, and then decide on admission)

3) The school's entrance examination (not necessarily required, depending on the admission situation of each school in that year)

It is open to international students to apply from November to December at the end of each year. If they are admitted, they will start their studies in March to April of the next year. This year is the opening of applications in November-December 2019, and enrollment in March-April 2020.

1. Singapore Polytechnic

As the first polytechnic in Singapore, of course, the faculty resources are the best. 5. Republic Polytechnic

The Republic of Singapore Polytechnic is the latest polytechnic institute established by the Singapore government on August 1, 2002. The total number of students is 12,000, with more than 700 faculty members currently serving, and 9% of the students come from other countries in the world. Students will study at the new campus in Woodlands from 17 April 2006. Due to the practical teaching method adopted by Republic Polytechnic, many local students in Singapore choose to enroll in Republic Polytechnic even though they can apply for entry to junior colleges.
